About The Founder

Dr P Mohamed Ali – A Visionary Global Entrepreneur & Philanthropist

Dr P Mohamed Ali is known for seizing the odds, encountering challenges and growing from strength to strength. He started his professional career in ‘General Reserve Engineering Force’ under the Ministry of Defence at Mizoram, in the North-East of India. After three years of hard work in a challenging terrain, he decided to move to the Middle-East which was emerging as a business hub following the gulf boom.

Thereafter, in 1972, Dr Ali co-founded GALFAR Engineering and Contracting in the Sultanate of Oman. From modest operations as a small construction company, the organization progressively grew to become Oman’s largest private sector company and employer, with EPC capability in oil and gas, roads and bridges, civil and maritime infrastructure and utilities, and service sectors. GALFAR is one of the largest employers of Omani nationals in all facets of its operations.

Even while scaling unprecedented heights of success for any expatriate businessperson, Dr Ali was always waiting for an opportunity to invest in his homeland. This inspired him to establish MFAR Constructions Private Limited in 1996 at Bangalore. Through Dr Ali’s vision, the MFAR Group has acquired a powerful presence in the construction, real estate, hospitality and activated carbon manufacturing fields in India.

As a well-renowned philanthropist, Dr Ali keeps betterment for the people at the core of everything he does. With the intrinsic value of Business With A Human Face, he believes in creating infrastructure for developing human potential.
